This timeline outlines important events related to bioenergy policy and regulation in Canada with an emphasis on biofuels and developments since 2000. For the purposes of this timeline, Bioenergy refers to various forms of renewable energy produced from biomass, such as biofuels, biopower and bioheat. The research team has made an effort to highlight events relevant to the forestry sector.
